This article guides you through the wiring and use of the door switch.

Wiring
- The door switch may only be connected by a qualified electrician.
- The door switch is connected to the SAFETY and GND terminals on the circuit board, terminals X15 and X16. Separate connectors are included in the package.

Door sensor installation
It is recommended that the door sensor and its counter magnet are installed facing directly each other as shown below, taking into account the installation distance:
Remote use
- Activate remote mode by pressing the heater button on the control panel for three seconds while the heater is off. RC mode is activated after a 30 second delay. The heater can then be remotely controlled using the MyHarvia app.
- If the control panel is placed inside the sauna room, the sauna door must be closed within 30 seconds of RC activation.
Troubleshooting
Cannot activate RC mode
- Door is open. Close the door and reactivate the RC mode.
- The remote setting is not in DOOR mode. The default setting is OFF.
- The door switch is incorrectly connected to the circuit board. Check the connections.
Error message: SAFE
- The remote setting is in SAFE mode. Change setting to DOOR mode.
Error message: Door open
- Door is open. Close the door and reactivate the RC mode.
- The door switch is incorrectly connected to the circuit board. Check the connections.
- The magnet is too far away from the door sensor. Check installation distances.
- The door sensor does not respond to the magnet even if the installation distances are taken into account. The problem usually occurs when the counter magnet is not aligned directly towards the door sensor:

What is the purpose of a door switch?
- The purpose of the door switch is to prevent the remote start of the heater when the sauna door is open, or if the door has been opened after the remote start has been activated.
When do I need a door switch?
- The door switch is a mandatory accessory if the heater is remotely controlled via the MyHarvia app.
