Safety switch installation

This article guides you through the wiring and use of a safety switch device.

Wiring

  • The safety switch may only be installed by a qualified electrician.
  • This instruction only shows how to connect the safety device to the circuit board of the power unit or heater. See the SFE product manual for other installation instructions.

  • The safety switch is connected to the SAFETY and GND terminals on the circuit board, terminals X15 and X16.

Control panel settings

    • The control panel setting S - 00 must be in SAFE mode when using the safety switch:5-00 ENG.PNG

Professional control units C170VKK and C400VKK

  • Activate REMOTE CONTROL in the control panel settings and select SAFETY SWITCH.

Troubleshooting

Remote use not working

  • The safety switch circuit is open.
  • Remote control is not activated from the control panel. Change settings.
  • The safety switch is incorrectly connected to the circuit board. Check connections.

Xenio control panel error message: SAFE

  • The safety switch circuit is open.
  • The safety switch is incorrectly connected to the circuit board. Check connections.

Xenio control panel error message: DOOR

  • The remote setting is in DOOR mode. Change setting to SAFE mode.

VKK control unit Error message: Safety switch circuit open. Check safety switch!

  • The safety switch circuit is open.
  • The safety switch is incorrectly connected to the circuit board. Check connections.
